European Science group concludes: Evidence that alcohol marketing exposure affects drinking behaviour youth 12 March 2009 The European Alcohol and Health Forum, established in 2007 by the euro-commissioner for Health, requested scientific advice from the Science Group on the impact of alcohol marketing. This advice resulted in a report which was presented on the 11th of March in Brussels.
Based on the consistency of the findings in the scientific literature, the scientists show that alcohol marketing increases the likelihood that adolescents will start to use alcohol and drink more alcohol amongst established drinkers.
