Introduction

Estonia has statutory as well as voluntary rules which limit alcohol marketing in its country. The Advertising Act is not specifically aimed at alcohol marketing, but includes all kind of marketing practices. The search for violations is performed by the Estonian Consumers Union and in case of violationgs of the code, this body can impose Financial pinalties as well.

Complaints of the voluntary code can be made to the special committee that is established by the Union Of Estonian Brewers. They have the possibility to impose sanctions. Results of their procedures are publicly announced on a website by the Union of Estonian Brewers.
